The MISAA Badminton Tournament was a one day tournament. It was held at Chinese International School Manila last March 25, 2017.
Reedley participated with 25 players from Division 2 (Junior High) and Division 1 (Senior High). Reedley played against Chinese International School (CISM), Beacon, and Fountain International School (FIS) in a Single Elimination type tournament. For Division 2 Boys, Reedley finished with Jullian Gavieta as the 1st runner-up in the Boys Singles Category and James Domingo as the 2nd runner-up in the same division. While in the Girls Singles Category, Chesca Velasco got 1st runner- up and Hannah Tan got the 2nd runner- up place. At the end of the Division 2 tournament, Reedley won the Championship for the Division 2 title.
In the afternoon, our Division 1 players battled it out with CISM and FIS players. For Division 1 Girls Singles Category, Naoka Abe came out as the Champion and Chloe Alfonso finished as the 1st-runner up. On the Boys Singles Category, Nico Chua got the 1st runner up place while Asti Mendoza finished as the 2nd-runner up for that category. Reedley finished as the 1st-runner up for the overall standings of the Division 1 Singles Category.
The Reedley Badminton Team really has a lot of potential to be a good contender for the following years! Congratulations to all!
