Reedley International School was founded in 1999 by Nellie Aquino-Ong. The name was bestowed as a tribute to Reedley College, California, USA, a small community where Mrs. Ong studied and excelled with the help of nurturing teachers and mentors.
After his success in the Gold Rush in the 1800s, Thomas Law Reed donated the land to the community and the town became known for its excellent nurturing of fruit harvests. This value of nurturing was evident among teachers and administrators in Reedley College and is seen today in Reedley International School.

Dear Reedley Families and Community,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! Whether you are a new family joining us, a returning family or a potential family, I trust that all has gone smoothly during the start of the year.
For all our new families, you are joining a school that will put your child’s best interests first and we are committed to empowering students to develop intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. Our dedicated teachers are here to support, nurture and accommodate our students at every stage of their educational journey. Our nurturing approach to education has been acknowledged through our accreditation as a School of Character by Character Education Philippines (CEP).
Our teachers continue to provide all students with high quality instructions designed to meet the needs of all our students with engaging lessons to foster growth in academics, collaboration, communication and critical thinking. In short, our teachers will provide students with the necessary tools to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world and develop the skills to become successful global citizens! As a WASC (The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of School and Colleges) accredited school we are a student-oriented school that remains focussed on providing quality education within an effectively organised school.
I know I can speak on behalf of all our employees who are so happy to welcome students back to our campus. It was truly amazing to see the genuine happiness of our students whose presence has been missed throughout the Covid-period of distance learning. Our building is abuzz with activity.
The academic quality of our program prepares our graduates well to believe in their own talents, follow their hearts, and take intellectual risks. Our cohort achieved some fantastic achievements last year, including our graduating classes whose academic success provides inspiration to many. We wish those who graduated the very best of luck moving into the next chapter of their lives.
Although I am new to Reedley, one thing that stands out to me is how the collective community, teachers, parents and students, genuinely respect and care for each other. I believe that this mutual respect and caring makes Reedley such a wonderful community, and I feel so honoured to be a Reesian!
As we now embark on another academic year, I would like to wish you all the very best. I hope it is an enjoyable and successful year ahead for all.
I invite you to learn more about what makes a Reedley education so special.
“A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue
or pen, then you have something very special.”
- Nelson Mandela
